Privacy Policy
We collect as little information as we reasonably can, and we use it only to respond to your enquiry.
01
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to Mc Locksmith Service Prahran, of 484 Malvern Rd, Prahran VIC 3181, Australia, and to personal information collected through this website, by telephone on 03 4052 9523, and by email at info@mclocksmithservice.com.au.
We handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as they apply to our business.
02
What we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the suburb or address of the property concerned, and a description of the locksmith issue you are enquiring about.
We do not ask for information we do not need in order to help you. We do not request identity documents, payment card details or sensitive personal information through this website.
Where access to a property is involved, we may need to confirm on site that you are the owner, tenant or authorised occupier. Any identification shown to us for that purpose is used only to establish entitlement to access at that time.
03
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, to discuss the work you are asking about, to arrange and carry out that work, and to keep a reasonable record of the work performed.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your contact details for marketing campaigns unrelated to the enquiry you made.
04
How enquiries are transmitted
The enquiry and quote forms on this website prepare an email in your own mail application containing the details you have entered. The message is sent by you, from your own email account, to our email address. No submission database is operated on this website.
Email is not a fully secure medium. Please do not include information you would not be comfortable sending by ordinary email.
05
Disclosure to others
We may disclose your information where it is necessary to carry out the work you have requested, where you have asked us to deal with someone on your behalf such as a property manager or owners corporation, or where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
Where a property is managed by another party, we may need to confirm authorisation with that party before carrying out work.
06
Storage, retention and access
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. We retain records for as long as we reasonably need them, including for any period required by law.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us on 03 4052 9523 or at info@mclocksmithservice.com.au.
07
Complaints and changes
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version.
